YAKIMA — Tonight marks the summer’s-end celebration known as Cruisin’ The Ave.
The event, which gives motorists and their families a chance to cruise downtown Yakima Avenue at a leisurely pace, starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.
It is the second and last cruise of the summer. The earlier event on June 6 kicked off the summer.
Cruisin’ The Ave has become a twice-a-summer annual event since civic leaders revived the tradition in 2005 as part of ongoing efforts to reinvigorate downtown.
