YAKIMA — Yakima fire officials are estimating damage at $5,000 from a garage fire at Pleasant and Hamm avenues, south of Nob Hill Boulevard, early Friday.
The fire was apparently caused by a short in electrical wiring leading from the residence to the garage.
Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area at 3:35 a.m.
