MOXEE — A team participating in the 2008 Yakima Asthma Walk for the American Lung Association will host a bake sale Saturday in Moxee.
Team captain Shayna Dye will host the event, where the team will sell donated home-baked goods as well as items donated by Shirley's Cakes and other area bakeries. The bake sale will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 306 S. Rivard Road.
The team's goal is to raise $500 to benefit the American Lung Association of the Northwest's
Yakima Asthma Walk, slated for Oct. 11 at Sarg Hubbard Park.
The walk is expected to draw at least 400 participants with the aim of raising awareness about lung disease and prevention, as well as raise funds to support research.
