Notes
PLAYER OF THE MONTH: David Cooper, the middle infielder who has probably been Yakima's best player this season, was named the Bears' player of the month for August on Monday.
The shortstop-second baseman batted .317 with an on-base percentage of .470 for the month while scoring 22 runs and stealing nine bases.
Cooper was awarded a commemorative watch from Dunbar Jewelers.
